I'm away from cyberspace for an uncertain amount of time..we'd had internet problems last week that a tech fixed Thursday.
on Friday morning I noticed exposed wire from kinks on my laptop power cord (and actually got a little shock). I searched and ordered a replacement then wrapped it in electrical tape. Yesterday morning when I tried starting it up for catching up with emails over breakfast it had officially died, status of laptop unknown (but certainly powerless). I'm on my partner's computer now. I'll try to make an announcement when I'm back.
